The Estate
Domaine Jean-Claude Cluzeaud & Fils
In Volnay, in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, our estate welcomes you in a place steeped in history. This family-run domaine, founded around 1792, has been passed down from generation to generation. Today, it covers 6.5 hectares of vines across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, in the communes of Chorey-les-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses, Pommard, Volnay, Monthelie, Fixin, Corgoloin and Comblanchien.
A story of family and passion
Since the first vines were acquired by the Pillot family after the French Revolution, the estate has continued to grow. From 1870, Edmond Pillot gave it new momentum, followed by his son Philibert and his wife Madeleine, who was named Chevalier du Tastevin in 1986. In the 1950s, their daughter Anne Marie Yvonne married Claude Cluzeaud, who modernised the estate and developed its commercial structure. The domaine then became known as Jean-Claude Cluzeaud, and since 2006, his son Jean-Baptiste has carried on the tradition, preserving the family spirit and inherited know-how.

Wines from an exceptional terroir
The estate produces a wide range of appellations, from regional wines to Premier Crus, with great care taken to respect the character and identity of each terroir. All our wines are aged in the vaulted cellars of the domaine, dating back to the 15th century, where ideal conditions allow for gentle maturation in keeping with Burgundian tradition.
An authentic experience
To discover our wines, a tasting cellar is open every day by appointment. You’ll enjoy a special moment in an authentic setting, steeped in history and passion.
